Daily Manga

Because traps/cross-dressers are in lately. (& I have no problem with that.) As much as I’d love to kick off the “genre” with a BL or trap manga, I think I’ll try easing people into it (in hopes of recruiting followers to the interest, hurhur.) So, that being said, this is a great cross-dressing themed shoujo manga. Good art (shoujo style of course) with some interesting characters & some funny situations. (Even the side character related oneshots are good.) If you’d like to read something “relatively/barely” serious that will make you laugh, this is a good one. I think everyone should be able to enjoy it (& I hope you do).

Daily Manga

Today's manga, Heartbroken Chocolatier, by the great Mizushiro Setona-sensei is an interesting one. It's classified shoujo but seems more josei/seinen to me. Who knows/cares. Beautiful art and a great story. All about unrequited love, chocolate, & human relations. Only a few chapters have been scanned thus far, so you might not get that explanation for awhile, but eventually. (I'm trying not give anything away.) It's currently ongoing so I can't say too much, but thus far; I love it. It's put together perfectly. It's so balanced while handling things people usually consider taboo & things people usually over dramatize that I can only call it a masterpiece. No wonder it's been nominated for the 4th manga Taisho awards. At any rate. If you read it, I hope you'll enjoy it.

Today's BL is one I recently read by Ike Reibun. I'm probably over-thinking it and reading too much into it, but if I'm not; Ike Reibun is a genius. An amazing, beautiful, incredible person. Why? Because from what I can see in this oneshot; She seems to be addressing the recent manga ban, the stupidity & power of the politicians, & the mindless sheep-like personality of the populace. It seems to address so many of the issues in such a terrifying yet hilarious manner that one can not help but be incredibly impressed and can't help loving the story. Even if that is not Ike Reibun's intention; I still loved this story. I hope you do, too. (And yes, the cover below & the story listed are different. The cover reads "Natsu ni Shiniyuku Monogatari" & does not seem to be listed in BU. If you'd like to know more; Google it yourself.)

Today's BL is a unique and hilarious oneshot about a doctors obsession with the perfect penis. Does such a thing really exist? If so; will he ever find it? Great art and a cute, funny story. Definitely worth a read if you want to lighten your mood. I hope you like it.

Today's BL is a wonderfully supernatural shounen ai called "The Mysterious Stories of Ghost Moon Tower"! It's by the great Ima Ichiko-sensei so the art and story are both great. I really love her youkai/mystery stories. They are the type that if you enjoy the supernatural of Japan you will not soon be forgetting her stories. Well. I hope you enjoy this one.

Today's manga is a oneshot. A really great one. Besides having awesome art it also has an amazingly interesting & (for some) eye opening plot that is pretty much unforgettable. It is definitely worth a read. Hope you like it! (& sorry for the late post. I can not resist sharing this one. It has got to be one of the most funny, crazy, desperate mangas I have ever read, lol. It is so screwing and so pathetic that you can't stop your self from bursting out in hysterical laughter sometimes. Finally recommending a Kunieda Saika work. This one isn't my favorite by her, but I do love it a lot (I'm just saving the best for later. ;D) So! The art is great and the story is pretty funny. It's one of her more light hearted, comical stories. (I seem to prefer her more serious &/or crazy ones though, lol..) Well. Hope you like it.

Today's manga is one of the funniest, greatest, most crazy mangas I've ever read. I'm also recommending the anime, for it is amazing as well! What's it about? A young man, pursuing an agricultural career who can see and speak with germs! I learned quite a few scary things from this one, including the existence of a food known as Kiviak... Enjoy! (lol.)

Daily Manga

Today's manga is a bit different from what I usually recommend. It's great, though and definitely worth a read. The art is almost more "moe blob" style but the manga is not. It's a funny story about an older man working in an eroge company who has fallen in love with a middle school girl and is trying desperately to keep her from hating him. I hope you like it!

Sorry for the recent inactivity. This can hardly be called daily now. Sadly, though, it may continue this way for awhile longer. But anyways! Today's manga is one of my favorites. Lol, I just noticed two things; I've recommended two mangas that concern religion although I am non-religious, & looking at bakaupdats, this mangaka also created Arakawa. I'd never have guessed that even though it is so glaringly obvious, lol. So this manga, written before Arakawa, is just as great & side-splittingly funny. Enjoy!

Throughout the manga, we get a little history of their divine greatness only to see their apparent insignificance in modern Japanese society. Suffice to say, before people can recognize that they’re actually Jesus and Buddha, people think of them as someone who looks like Johnny Depp or a guy with a button on his forehead. For real.

Saint Oniisan received the 2009 Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize for Short Work Manga.

After posting the classic BL download last night, I got onto the subject of classic manga in TM (as most of you probably saw) & was asked for recommendations. I got out a shoujo & BL but couldn't think of a translated shounen/seinen series (aside from Osamu Tezuka's works). So! Today! I remembered one of my favorites! It was one of the animes I watched a lot as a kid. This and Scooby Doo were my two favorite shows. So what is this crazy awesome classic? It's Lupin III! One of the all time most epic animes around (in my opinion)! I used to hate reading though, so it took awhile before I got into the manga (lol). But, when I did, I remember getting the manga at the library and reading it behind my textbooks in class~ xD Anyways! I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do~

So today's manga is a new release and one of my absolute favorite mangas. I found it one day in Kinokuniya when I was caught by an image of one of my favorite creatures, a jellyfish, on the cover of "Kiss" magazine. I ended up buying the thing and getting myself addicted to this and one other story in the magazine. The art is great and the story is just hilarious. The name translates to "Jellyfish Princess". You can see why I grabbed it, na? xD Well! Hope you all enjoy it!

Today's BL is an incredibly fucked up, sparklingly pure story, lol. I don't even know how to explain it but...it's damn good. The art is great and the story enjoyable. Worth a read or three. It's comprised of three (or four?) volumes with a good oneshot at the end of the last. Hope you all like it.

Finally back! Funny thing!: while we were gone, my childhood friend who is staying with us used the wrong soap to was the dishes and and created a bubble wonderland in the kitchen. Very fun. xD Aside from that! Today's BL is one of those rare longer series. It has nine volumes so far. The art is great and the story is fun. Now!
