Daily BL

A new series by Nitta-sensei. Two chapters released & it's already at a level where you'd have to take a cold shower after reading. As expected, lol. But this series looks pretty interesting. A blind phsycal therapist(?) who can see visions about a person when he touches them. A cop who meets and falls in love with him, letting himself be held by him. But is the blind man really who he says he is? And why is he being investigated? It seems like it will be pretty fun to read.

Daily Manga

Today's manga is a rather amazing work by a very promising new-comer (they even won an award for being so) & it happens to fall under an amazing amount of genres, lol. The art is, well, a bit questionable at time proportionally, but then again it /is/ a shounen manga and when it really counts it's very good. Well! I hope you like this. (& if you do; please keep an eye out for their future works!)

「進撃の巨人」
Shingeki no Kyojin

Mangaka: 諌山創 (Isayama Hajime)
Genre: Action, Drama, Fantasy, Historical, Horror, Mature, Mystery, Psychological, Shounen, Supernatural, Tragedy
Summary: "Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by giants. Giants are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of giants.

Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a giant in over 100 years. Teenage boy Elen and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as the city walls are destroyed by a super giant that appears out of thin air. As the smaller giants flood the city, the two kids watch in horror as their mother is eaten alive. Elen vows that he will murder every single giant and take revenge for all of mankind.

Nominated for the 4th Manga Taisho Awards (2011)." - Baka-Updates

Daily Manga

Well I'm still in the mood for horror. Somehow I can't get out of it, lol. But this is a good one! Horror or not it is really worth a read. I'd read a few chapters when it came out but got distracted for sometime and only really got back into it the other day. I also noticed that it recently got an anime but I probably wont watch it, lol. Anyways. Hope you like it.

Daily Manga

Again, sorry for not posting lately. But I should be back for awhile now. (Unless something gets sprung on me last moment again.) At any rate! Today's manga is a wonderful psychological horror story with a somewhat realistic plot. It's a bit like Lord of The Flies and the Apocalypse crash into each other in a train in Japan and explode into twisted disaster and insanity of the human's soul and the earth's body. It's 10 volumes long and has an "interesting" ending. Hope you like it.

「ドラゴンヘッド」
Dragon Head

Mangaka: 望月ミネタロウ (Mochizuki Minetaro)
Genre: Adventure, Drama, Horror, Mystery, Psychological, Seinen
Summary: "In the horror of witnessing so many classmates perish before his eyes in a violent train wreck, Teru discovers two survivors in the tunnel: Ako and Nobuo. But salvation from this bloody carnage is far from their grasp. As they try to dig out from the wreck in order to come up with a plan to stay alive, the lack of light and food, combined with the stench of death and decay, will lead one member of the group down a dark and demented path. And with sudden, violent earthquakes shaking the tunnel, escaping to the outside world may lead them to an even greater danger..." - Baka-Updates

Daily BL

Today's BL is a wonderfully supernatural shounen ai called "The Mysterious Stories of Ghost Moon Tower"! It's by the great Ima Ichiko-sensei so the art and story are both great. I really love her youkai/mystery stories. They are the type that if you enjoy the supernatural of Japan you will not soon be forgetting her stories. Well. I hope you enjoy this one.

Gengetsurou Kitan

Daily Manga

Today's manga is one you most likely already know. I'd not be surprised if you've all read or watched it already. So what is it? It is the amazing, award winning hit manga "Mushishi". Full of amazing art, incredible style, fun and fascinating adventures, one of the most interesting plots out there, and a main character that you can't help but love, this manga has even been turned into a great live action movie. Hope you enjoy.

「虫师」
Mushishi

Mangaka: 漆原 友紀 (Urushibara Yuki)
Genre: Adventure, Drama, Fantasy, Historical, Mystery, Psychological, Seinen, Supernatural, Tragedy
Summary: "They exist in the most unexpected places -- be it within your eyes and ears, under the floor and roof of your house, or the trees and flowers in your garden. They are everywhere and yet nowhere at the same time. Are they alive or not? Perhaps it is more apt to say they are beings who transcend the concept of life and death itself...Or could it be that they are what scientists today describe as the 'primordial ooze' - the origins wherein all life arose billions of years ago?
They are mushi.
Some wreak havoc in the lives of humans; while others bring them deliverance from suffering. Mushi are neither good, nor evil; for just like any other creature, they are merely striving to survive in this harsh, competitive world.

Ginko - a lone wanderer with an intriguingly reclusive personality, offers help and guidance to those plagued by mushi. This is the tale of his travels and exploits in a wondrous world populated by these mysterious entities.

Mushishi won an Excellence Prize at the 2003 Japan Media Arts Festival and the 2006 Kodansha Manga Award." - Baka-Updates

Daily Manga

Today I feel like posting my number one, all time favorite manga. It is the most beautiful, entertaining, genius thing I have ever read. The pure insanity of one of the main characters is so incredibly beautiful that you wont be able to resist loving him. Like yesterday's, today's has a "slight" BL overtone. not sure if it's intentional but I love it either way. There's also some amazing fanart of the insane man that I'll post later. But sadly the actual manga art of him isn't as beautiful (however it's perfect for the story so it's all good). Well! Really hope you love it. Enjoy~

「モンスター」
Monster

Mangaka: 浦沢 直樹 (Urusawa Naoki)
Genre: Action, Drama, Historical, Mature, Mystery, Psychological, Seinen
Summary: "Monster weaves the riveting story of brilliant Dr. Kenzo Tenma, a famous surgeon with a promising career at a leading hospital. Tenma risks his reputation and promising career to save the life of a critically wounded young boy. Unbeknownst to him, this child is destined for a terrible fate. A string of strange and mysterious murders begin to occur soon afterward, ones that professionally benefit Dr. Tenma, and he emerges as the primary suspect. Conspiracies, serial murders, and a scathing depiction of the underbelly of hospital politics are all masterfully woven together in this compelling manga thriller.

The series won an Excellence Prize at the 1997 Japan Media Arts Festival and the Shogakukan Manga Award in 2001."-Baka-Updates
