Daily Manga

"The Place Promised in Our Early Days", adapted by the amazing Sahara Mizu-sensei. I've only read chapter one so far, but I can promise I'll be reading it to the very end (& probably be wishing for more when it ends.) Sahara-sensei's incredible art just makes Shinkai-sensei's stories all the better. So, I hope you'll like it as well.

「雲のむこう、約束の場所」
Kumo no Mukou, Yakusoku no Basho

Mangaka: 佐原ミズ (Sahara Mizu)
Author: 新海誠 (Shinkai Makoto)
Genre: Drama, Psychological, Romance, Sci-fi, Seinen
Summary: "In an alternate history of the aftermath of World War II, Japan has been cleaved in half, with the south—Honshu and the other islands—allied with the United States and the northern island Hokkaido annexed by the enigmatic Union. It was on Hokkaido that a mysterious tower had been built, a strand of metal reaching up out of the atmosphere, visible from the northern tip of Honshu. In 1996, three teenagers, Hiroki, Takuya and Sayuri, make a pact—they will build an experimental aircraft, almost invisible to surveillance, cross over to Hokkaido and unlock the secrets of the tower. Their dream was never realized, because Sayuri was sent to Tokyo for treatment after she fell into a coma. It is now three years later. The rosy illusions of youth have fallen away, but not the unbreakable strength of the trio’s promise. The truth of the tower will be uncovered, and with it, the link between it and Sayuri’s mysterious, carefully tended condition." - Baka-Updates

Daily Manga

Posting a bit late but! Today's manga is by one of my favorite mangaka. It's a beautiful story, somewhat bittersweet, with nice, clean art. If you'd like to read something touching & sweet that will make you feel like a kid again than this is a great one. Aside from that, my one problem with the mangaka is that, for some odd reason, I always feel the older men are pedophiles although I know full well they are not, lol. But anyways. Hope you like it.

「千夏のうた」
Chinatsu no Uta

Mangaka: きたがわ翔 (Kitagawa Shou)
Genre: Drama, Psychological, Seinen, Slice of Life
Summary: "The series takes place at a certain Japanese location, where a girl moves in with her aunt to a new house after experiencing some more or less shocking events back home. There she meets a boy named Fuyuki, who she from then on spends a lot of time with. The thing special about Chinatsu is her voice, a voice which many seem to have heard before, but from where? What's so special about this girl, and what'll happen in the future?" - Baka-Updates

Daily Manga

Today's manga is a rather amazing work by a very promising new-comer (they even won an award for being so) & it happens to fall under an amazing amount of genres, lol. The art is, well, a bit questionable at time proportionally, but then again it /is/ a shounen manga and when it really counts it's very good. Well! I hope you like this. (& if you do; please keep an eye out for their future works!)

「進撃の巨人」
Shingeki no Kyojin

Mangaka: 諌山創 (Isayama Hajime)
Genre: Action, Drama, Fantasy, Historical, Horror, Mature, Mystery, Psychological, Shounen, Supernatural, Tragedy
Summary: "Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by giants. Giants are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of giants.

Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a giant in over 100 years. Teenage boy Elen and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as the city walls are destroyed by a super giant that appears out of thin air. As the smaller giants flood the city, the two kids watch in horror as their mother is eaten alive. Elen vows that he will murder every single giant and take revenge for all of mankind.

Nominated for the 4th Manga Taisho Awards (2011)." - Baka-Updates

Daily BL

For today's BL I'm actually recommending a mangaka's complete works (-3 older hetero works) which are all FMA doujin. Most are Ed x Al (in the alternate world) but there are a few Ed x Roy. The art is, well, indescribably beautiful. I had a hard time picking a cover to share, lol. The stories are also amazing(ly sexy and beautiful) and some tie into each other. All the scanned works can be downloaded at Scan-Clan (the scanners). I Hope you enjoy them.

Depicted: Minature Garden
Story: Al's desire; gender bender

Mangaka: Idea (イデア )
Genre: Doujinshi, Drama, Gender Bender, Psychological, Slice of Life, Shounen Ai, Yaoi
Description: Full Metal Alchemist doujinshi. Mainly Ed x Al, but there are a few Ed x Roy (my favorite.)

Daily Manga

Again, sorry for not posting lately. But I should be back for awhile now. (Unless something gets sprung on me last moment again.) At any rate! Today's manga is a wonderful psychological horror story with a somewhat realistic plot. It's a bit like Lord of The Flies and the Apocalypse crash into each other in a train in Japan and explode into twisted disaster and insanity of the human's soul and the earth's body. It's 10 volumes long and has an "interesting" ending. Hope you like it.

「ドラゴンヘッド」
Dragon Head

Mangaka: 望月ミネタロウ (Mochizuki Minetaro)
Genre: Adventure, Drama, Horror, Mystery, Psychological, Seinen
Summary: "In the horror of witnessing so many classmates perish before his eyes in a violent train wreck, Teru discovers two survivors in the tunnel: Ako and Nobuo. But salvation from this bloody carnage is far from their grasp. As they try to dig out from the wreck in order to come up with a plan to stay alive, the lack of light and food, combined with the stench of death and decay, will lead one member of the group down a dark and demented path. And with sudden, violent earthquakes shaking the tunnel, escaping to the outside world may lead them to an even greater danger..." - Baka-Updates

Daily Manga

So today I'm recommending some shoujo (and I might recommend some more soon.) It's a bit dark and twisted in a beautifully desperate way. But it turns out to be very sweet. (The crazy in me loved this.) The art is great and the story is very good. It's about four volumes long (I think it's complete?) and really worth a read. Hope you enjoy it.

「花の名前」
Hana no Namae

Mangaka: 斎藤けん (Saitou Ken)
Genre: Drama, Psychological, Romance, Shoujo, Slice of Life
Summary: "After losing her parents in an accident, Chouko locked away her emotions. The one who promised to look after her until she graduated from high school was the novelist Kei, a distant relative. He also cradles darkness in his heart, and as her graduation approaches, his newest novel "Hana" (Flower) is announced, a work charged with his feelings!? This is a romance manga spun with emotion."-Baka-Updates

Daily BL

Today's BL is a wonderfully messed up one. Full of the confusion and denial of angsty teenagers. The story is pretty screwed up and wonderful. The art is quite unique and good. If you like messed up love stories then this is for you. Well! I hope you enjoy it.

「君の顔に射す影」
Kimi no Kao ni Sasu Kage

Mangaka: 野火ノビタ (Nobi Nobita)
Genre: Drama, Psychological, School Life, Yaoi
Summary: "Miwa confesses his feelings to his friend Katou, but in response, Katou introduces Miwa to his gay friend Hashina. Miwa is shocked, and rejects Hashina, but that just makes Hashina fall in love creating an unrequited love triangle. Miwa finds comfort in Hashina, but will he ever be able to let go of his feelings for Katou?" - Baka-Updates

Daily Manga

Today's manga is one you most likely already know. I'd not be surprised if you've all read or watched it already. So what is it? It is the amazing, award winning hit manga "Mushishi". Full of amazing art, incredible style, fun and fascinating adventures, one of the most interesting plots out there, and a main character that you can't help but love, this manga has even been turned into a great live action movie. Hope you enjoy.

「虫师」
Mushishi

Mangaka: 漆原 友紀 (Urushibara Yuki)
Genre: Adventure, Drama, Fantasy, Historical, Mystery, Psychological, Seinen, Supernatural, Tragedy
Summary: "They exist in the most unexpected places -- be it within your eyes and ears, under the floor and roof of your house, or the trees and flowers in your garden. They are everywhere and yet nowhere at the same time. Are they alive or not? Perhaps it is more apt to say they are beings who transcend the concept of life and death itself...Or could it be that they are what scientists today describe as the 'primordial ooze' - the origins wherein all life arose billions of years ago?
They are mushi.
Some wreak havoc in the lives of humans; while others bring them deliverance from suffering. Mushi are neither good, nor evil; for just like any other creature, they are merely striving to survive in this harsh, competitive world.

Ginko - a lone wanderer with an intriguingly reclusive personality, offers help and guidance to those plagued by mushi. This is the tale of his travels and exploits in a wondrous world populated by these mysterious entities.

Mushishi won an Excellence Prize at the 2003 Japan Media Arts Festival and the 2006 Kodansha Manga Award." - Baka-Updates

Daily BL

Today's BL is more of a crazy obsessive shounen ai (sense it's by the great Tezuka Osamu-sensei). That being said, the art isn't the best, but the story makes up for it. I've also heard of there being a drama or movie based off of this. I still need to check it out, but it seems to be pretty good. It has a large fandom and all, lol. Well! Enjoy!

「ムウ」
MW

Mangaka: 手塚 治虫 (Tezuka Osamu)
Genre: Action, Drama, Mature, Psychological, Seinen, Shounen Ai, Tragedy
Summary: "Gurai is a Japanese Catholic Priest, who is unable to give up his lifelong sexual relationship with Yuki, a beautiful and sadistic young master criminal. Yuki's malicious crimes have become more and more extreme over the years, claiming many innocent lives, and Gurai is tormented by guilt at his inability to stop them." - Baka-Updates

Daily Manga

So today I'll be sharing a shoujo manhwa. It's actually crazy amazing (really). I love the manhwaga's works. They all seem to have a beautiful bit of insanity mixed in & I just happen to be a huge fan of insanity, lol. There is some incest and tragedy, but I love both, lol. The art is also really good. 「악의 꽃」
Flowers of Evil

This manhwa contains incest themes.

Title comes from French poet Beaudelaire's compilation of poems, Les Fleurs du mal." - Baka-Updates

Daily Manga

Today I feel like posting my number one, all time favorite manga. It is the most beautiful, entertaining, genius thing I have ever read. The pure insanity of one of the main characters is so incredibly beautiful that you wont be able to resist loving him. Like yesterday's, today's has a "slight" BL overtone. not sure if it's intentional but I love it either way. There's also some amazing fanart of the insane man that I'll post later. But sadly the actual manga art of him isn't as beautiful (however it's perfect for the story so it's all good). Well! Really hope you love it. Enjoy~

「モンスター」
Monster

Mangaka: 浦沢 直樹 (Urusawa Naoki)
Genre: Action, Drama, Historical, Mature, Mystery, Psychological, Seinen
Summary: "Monster weaves the riveting story of brilliant Dr. Kenzo Tenma, a famous surgeon with a promising career at a leading hospital. A string of strange and mysterious murders begin to occur soon afterward, ones that professionally benefit Dr. Tenma, and he emerges as the primary suspect. Conspiracies, serial murders, and a scathing depiction of the underbelly of hospital politics are all masterfully woven together in this compelling manga thriller.

The series won an Excellence Prize at the 1997 Japan Media Arts Festival and the Shogakukan Manga Award in 2001."-Baka-Updates

Ahahah~ Sorry for the late post. Finally redownloaded IMVU after seeing so many friends using it. I've been screwing around on there for hours. Add me if you'd like? User name is the same as TM's. Well! Today's manhua is an epic! It's also based on a classic, but, well, a more famous and exciting one, lol. The art is great and the story is insanely long, addictive, and incredible. The Ravages of Time

Manhuaga: 陳某 (Chen Mou)

Hong Kong artist Chan Mou retells this classic tale in "The Ravages of Time" from the perspective of the Sima clan, which in the end united the three kingdoms. Readers will be attracted by an array of well-developed characters and Chan Mou's own unique top-notch art-style. Whether you have played Dynasty Warriors or not, this is definitely worth a read!" - Baka-Updates

Daily Manga

Today's manga is one I love. It's based on a classic novel. ;D I've read the Japanese scans and love them like crazy but sadly I hate the English translation.
