Daily Manga

Today's manga is one I had long been hoping to see scanned. When it was finally, recently, picked up, I was pleasantly surprised to see the group scanning it was Kotonoha. /Love explosion. This story is truly awesome. I just can't help loving a purely evil genius male lead. This story will, at some points, make you want to cry, and at others, make you want to laugh sadistically. The pure win of it. Complimented by the clean art style. This, to me, could not be more perfect. I can only hope you will enjoy it just as much.

「狼の口: ヴォルフスムント」
Wolfsmund

Mangaka: 久慈光久 (Kuji Mitsuhisa)
Genre: Action, Drama, Historical, Mature, Seinen, Tragedy
Summary: "Wolfsmund is a dark historical manga set in the early 14th century of Europe (Switzerland). The story revolves around the eponymous fortress in the St. Gotthard Pass which is ruled by a sadistic tyrant. Basically, each chapter deals with characters who for some reason have to cross the pass and who end up getting interrogated by the mentioned tyrant.

What sets this manga apart is the fact that there's rarely a happy ending for our protagonists. The author pulls no punches to show us just how brutal and inhuman the Middle Ages really were." - Baka-Updates

Daily Manga

Today's manga is a rather amazing work by a very promising new-comer (they even won an award for being so) & it happens to fall under an amazing amount of genres, lol. The art is, well, a bit questionable at time proportionally, but then again it /is/ a shounen manga and when it really counts it's very good. Well! I hope you like this. (& if you do; please keep an eye out for their future works!)

「進撃の巨人」
Shingeki no Kyojin

Mangaka: 諌山創 (Isayama Hajime)
Genre: Action, Drama, Fantasy, Historical, Horror, Mature, Mystery, Psychological, Shounen, Supernatural, Tragedy
Summary: "Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by giants. Giants are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of giants.

Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a giant in over 100 years. Teenage boy Elen and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as the city walls are destroyed by a super giant that appears out of thin air. As the smaller giants flood the city, the two kids watch in horror as their mother is eaten alive. Elen vows that he will murder every single giant and take revenge for all of mankind.

Nominated for the 4th Manga Taisho Awards (2011)." - Baka-Updates

Daily Manga

Today's manga is possibly a bit troubling (being as it's apocalyptic) with the state of unrest many people are currently in, however, I am a bit sadistic so I can't quite help myself. Aside from that the main story and the two others are very good and definitely worth a read. The art is also quite nice. I hope you like it.

「Hotel」

Mangaka: ボイチ (Boichi)
Genre: Drama, Sci-fi, Seinen, Tragedy
Summary: "Compilation of short stories:

• Hotel
It is the year 2272 A.D.
A computer continues to live on in order to complete a mission in a world where all life, including Mankind, has gone extinct. This is a record of those 27 million years of its heroic struggle.

• Diadem
A "Diadem" is a word for 'crown' that has its root in Greek. "Stephanos", which appeared in "Mandala" 01, was also a 'crown'. It seems that we could consider this the second work in a continuing series of shorts that should perhaps be called a "Crown series".

• Present
Hanako suffers from a terrible disease. After awakening from a deep slumber, Hanako has only three days to live. During those three days, her husband, Takao, must endure a heart-breaking experience, knowing that the person Hanako really loves isn't him." - Baka-Updates

Daily Manga

Well I'm still in the mood for horror. Somehow I can't get out of it, lol. But this is a good one! Horror or not it is really worth a read. I'd read a few chapters when it came out but got distracted for sometime and only really got back into it the other day. I also noticed that it recently got an anime but I probably wont watch it, lol. Anyways. Hope you like it.

「屍鬼」
Shiki

Author: 小野 不由美 (Ono Fuyumi)
Mangaka: 藤崎竜 (Fujisaki Ryu)
Genre: Drama, Horror, Mystery, Shounen, Supernatural, Tragedy
Summary: "Sotoba is an old-fashioned Japanese village nestled deep in the mountains. It has a small population of about 1300, and the villagers strictly follow age-old traditions and customs.
One sweltering hot summer, a mysterious and deadly disease begins to spread rapidly among the villagers, affecting young and old alike. Following these puzzling deaths, a family of beautiful and elegant individuals moves into the abandoned 'Kanemasa' mansion on the hill-side over-looking Sotoba..." - Baka-Updates

Daily BL

Today's BL is a oneshot manhwa. Although the art might not be the greatest, the story makes up for it. It is a dark and twisted, psychotic love story of a priest to his king. If you don't like somewhat twisted and tragic types, I'd have to warn you to avoid this one. But if you like that type; this is a must read. Hope you like it~

「King's Prophet」

Manhwaga: Not Listed
Genre: Shounen Ai, Tragedy
Summary: "A king visits an isolated temple to search for a prophet." - Baka-Updates

Daily Manga

Today's manga is one you most likely already know. I'd not be surprised if you've all read or watched it already. So what is it? It is the amazing, award winning hit manga "Mushishi". Full of amazing art, incredible style, fun and fascinating adventures, one of the most interesting plots out there, and a main character that you can't help but love, this manga has even been turned into a great live action movie. Hope you enjoy.

「虫师」
Mushishi

Mangaka: 漆原 友紀 (Urushibara Yuki)
Genre: Adventure, Drama, Fantasy, Historical, Mystery, Psychological, Seinen, Supernatural, Tragedy
Summary: "They exist in the most unexpected places -- be it within your eyes and ears, under the floor and roof of your house, or the trees and flowers in your garden. They are everywhere and yet nowhere at the same time. Are they alive or not? Perhaps it is more apt to say they are beings who transcend the concept of life and death itself...Or could it be that they are what scientists today describe as the 'primordial ooze' - the origins wherein all life arose billions of years ago?
They are mushi.
Some wreak havoc in the lives of humans; while others bring them deliverance from suffering. Mushi are neither good, nor evil; for just like any other creature, they are merely striving to survive in this harsh, competitive world.

Ginko - a lone wanderer with an intriguingly reclusive personality, offers help and guidance to those plagued by mushi. This is the tale of his travels and exploits in a wondrous world populated by these mysterious entities.

Mushishi won an Excellence Prize at the 2003 Japan Media Arts Festival and the 2006 Kodansha Manga Award." - Baka-Updates

Daily BL

Today's BL is more of a crazy obsessive shounen ai (sense it's by the great Tezuka Osamu-sensei). That being said, the art isn't the best, but the story makes up for it. I've also heard of there being a drama or movie based off of this. I still need to check it out, but it seems to be pretty good. It has a large fandom and all, lol. Well! Enjoy!

「ムウ」
MW

Mangaka: 手塚 治虫 (Tezuka Osamu)
Genre: Action, Drama, Mature, Psychological, Seinen, Shounen Ai, Tragedy
Summary: "Gurai is a Japanese Catholic Priest, who is unable to give up his lifelong sexual relationship with Yuki, a beautiful and sadistic young master criminal. Yuki's malicious crimes have become more and more extreme over the years, claiming many innocent lives, and Gurai is tormented by guilt at his inability to stop them." - Baka-Updates

Daily BL

Sharing another oneshot. I cannot recall what volume it is from and bakaupdates was no damn help at all. However, the scanlators of this did not include the last page and after looking through all the raws I have from Honjou Rie I cannot find the volume with this in it and thus cannot provide the page, but I shall describe it to you. It's but one picture; a curtain, half-drawn, with the foot of a hospital bed showing from behind it, the darker haired man sitting in a chair beside the bed, crying tears of relief and laughing as he holds tight to the hand that had stretched out to him as the dazzlingly bright and warm light of day shines in through the window behind him, illuminating the room. So it is not a terribly sad story after all. It has a happy ending. (I wish they had included it, really. And I shall keep looking for it.) Enjoy!

「雨にも迷わない」
Ame nimo Mayowanai

Mangaka: 本庄 りえ (Honjou Rie)
Genre: Romance, Shounen Ai, Tragedy, Yaoi
Summary: "As Kenta Fukunaga lies bleeding in the rain, all he can think about is the past, when to cover up a secret love for his best friend Keisuke, he lied and claimed to be in love with Keisuke's girlfriend, Runa. As the years pass a delicate peace exists with the relationships of the three staying the same. But delicate things can be broken so easily..." - Baka-Updates

Daily Manga

So today I'll be sharing a shoujo manhwa. It's actually crazy amazing (really). I love the manhwaga's works. They all seem to have a beautiful bit of insanity mixed in & I just happen to be a huge fan of insanity, lol. There is some incest and tragedy, but I love both, lol. The art is also really good. Enjoy!

「악의 꽃」
Flowers of Evil

Manhwaga: 이현숙 (Lee Hyeon-Sook)
Genre: Drama, Psychological, Romance, School Life, Shoujo, Tragedy
Summary: "Se-Joon and Se-Wa are siblings with a dark, complex relationship. Se-Wa, a girl considered psychotic by others, is attached to her brother... a little too attached. In her eyes, there is only Se-Joon, and no one else. And what of Se-Joon's feelings?

This manhwa contains incest themes.

Title comes from French poet Beaudelaire's compilation of poems, Les Fleurs du mal." - Baka-Updates

Daily Manga

Finally getting back into it. Hohon. My sleep schedule was way off. I'll be hitting you with an odd, but interesting, slightly screwed up oneshot today! It's actually manhua, & the art is reminiscent of an early (90's) Kaori Yuki work. The story is pretty good though. Entertaining. Enjoy it.

「Mushroom Boy」

Manhuaga: 韩露 (Han Lu)
Genre: Shoujo, Tragedy
Summary: "Just like mushrooms that grow as a log rots, memories collect as life goes on. Even though you might not remember anything right now, they are still there. And will eventually be remembered." - Baka-Updates

Daily Manga

I've posted this before, months ago, but I love it like birds love the sky so~ I'm posting it again! By my favorite Sahara Mizu-sensei. Spectacular art and an incredible story. It's a manga based off a Korean novel. There's depression, attempted suicide, prison, the death penalty, a piano, and a sad, sad love. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.
