Daily Manga

Eve no Jikan is another great Seinen manga based off of a hit novel. I had started watching the animation a while back but never finished, so I was ecstatic when I saw this being scanned. Good art & a nice feel. And interesting & entertaining story that almost makes one wish for such robots. I always love it when you can make sci-fi a slice of life story as well. Worth a read & watch (the animation has great art.)

「イヴの時間」
Eve no Jikan

Mangaka: 太田 優姫 (Oota Yuuki)
Author: 吉浦 康裕 (Yoshiura Yasuhiro)
Genre: Sci-fi, Seinen, Slice of Life
Summary: "The future, probably Japan. Robots have long been put into practical use, and androids have just come into use.

Influenced by the Robot Ethics Committee, it's become common sense for people to treat androids like household appliances. Their appearance - indistinguishable from humans except for the ring over each android's head - has led some people to empathize unnecessarily with androids. Known as "android-holics", such people have become a social problem.

Rikuo, a high school student, has been taught from childhood that androids are not to be viewed as humans, and has always used them as convenient tools. One day Rikuo discovers some strange data in the behavior records of his family's household android, Sammy.

Rikuo and his friend Masaki trace Sammy's movements, only to discover a mysterious café that features a house rule that "humans and robots are to be treated the same"..." - Baka-Updates

Daily BL

Today's BL carries a nice, somewhat relaxed feel. Rather appropriate for spring (with all the great sex scenes). Good art (although not to my taste) and a cute, somewhat cheesy, story. If you're looking to read something light and sweet but a bit graphic, this would be a good one for you. Hope you enjoy.

「またあした」
Mata Ashita

Mangaka: 町屋はとこ (Machida Hatoko)
Genre: Romance, Slice of Life, Yaoi
Summary: "Kinishita is worried. Manaka, the mover he hired, was hurt on the job protecting Kinishita when a pile of heavy boxes fell. Now Kinishita just can't stop thinking about what happened, or Manaka...

This is a simple and beautiful story about everyday relationships."-Baka-Updates

Daily Manga

Posting a bit late but! Today's manga is by one of my favorite mangaka. It's a beautiful story, somewhat bittersweet, with nice, clean art. If you'd like to read something touching & sweet that will make you feel like a kid again than this is a great one. Aside from that, my one problem with the mangaka is that, for some odd reason, I always feel the older men are pedophiles although I know full well they are not, lol. But anyways. Hope you like it.

「千夏のうた」
Chinatsu no Uta

Mangaka: きたがわ翔 (Kitagawa Shou)
Genre: Drama, Psychological, Seinen, Slice of Life
Summary: "The series takes place at a certain Japanese location, where a girl moves in with her aunt to a new house after experiencing some more or less shocking events back home. There she meets a boy named Fuyuki, who she from then on spends a lot of time with. The thing special about Chinatsu is her voice, a voice which many seem to have heard before, but from where? What's so special about this girl, and what'll happen in the future?" - Baka-Updates

Daily Manga

Well. It seems like in the short while my internet was refusing to work, Blogger has gone a bit crazy. Apparently polls can now attract a ridiculous amount of hits. My Stats are now screwed. But anyways. Getting to the main subject! Today's manga is actually a shoujo (which actually seems more like a seinen to me) manga by none other than Est Em! It's hilarious and amazing; a must read! Great art and a very interesting, creative, Est Emesque story! I hope you like it just as much as I. Enjoy!

「Gallop!」

Mangaka: えすとえむ (Est Em)
Genre: Fantasy, Shoujo, Slice of Life
Summary: "After the passing of the Equal Opportunity Employment Act, everyone has equal rights in the workplace. Unfortunately, there are still many logistical difficulties yet to be overcome. Like, how's a centaur supposed to sit at a desk made for humans, anyway?

A collection of one-shots." - Baka-Updates

Daily BL

Today's BL is another by The Moon In a Box. It's not yet completed and this is the only scanned work I've been able to find by this mangaka but I'm already a fan. The art is really amazing and very unique plus the story is pretty interesting. It may be a bit confusing but it's really good. Hope you like it. (Though it is only shounen-ai.)

Daily BL

For today's BL I'm actually recommending a mangaka's complete works (-3 older hetero works) which are all FMA doujin. Most are Ed x Al (in the alternate world) but there are a few Ed x Roy. The art is, well, indescribably beautiful. I had a hard time picking a cover to share, lol. The stories are also amazing(ly sexy and beautiful) and some tie into each other. All the scanned works can be downloaded at Scan-Clan (the scanners). I Hope you enjoy them.

Depicted: Minature Garden

Mangaka: Idea (イデア )
Genre: Doujinshi, Drama, Gender Bender, Psychological, Slice of Life, Shounen Ai, Yaoi

Daily Manga

I can not resist sharing this one. It has got to be one of the most funny, crazy, desperate mangas I have ever read, lol. It is so screwing and so pathetic that you can't stop your self from bursting out in hysterical laughter sometimes. It's up high on my list of favorites so it'd be great if you could enjoy it too, lol. Happy reading~

「ニコイチ」
Nicoichi

Leading this life of a “fatherless family”, for some reason he falls in love with a woman. One morning he happens to see her on a crowded train but…" - Baka-Updates

Daily Manga

Sorry for posting this so late. I've been too busy lately. I can't even spend Christmas with Suzuya thanks to my mum sleeping right next to me on the couch...fail xmas, orz. But onto the main subject. Today I'll be sharing a nice, clean, sweet manhwa. It says the genre is shoujo, but it seems more josei to me, lol. I like this series for a lot of reasons. I'm 19, I'm a bit screwy but simple, I love cats, the art is amazing, and the story is wonderfully refreshing, lol. Enough with my praising. Enjoy!

Daily Manga

So today I'm recommending some shoujo (and I might recommend some more soon.) It's a bit dark and twisted in a beautifully desperate way. But it turns out to be very sweet. (The crazy in me loved this.) The art is great and the story is very good. It's about four volumes long (I think it's complete?) and really worth a read. Hope you enjoy it.

Daily BL

Finally recommending a Kunieda Saika work. This one isn't my favorite by her, but I do love it a lot (I'm just saving the best for later. ;D) So! The art is great and the story is pretty funny. It's one of her more light hearted, comical stories. (I seem to prefer her more serious &/or crazy ones though, lol..) Well. Hope you like it.

Daily Manga

A nice, fun, full color oneshot by CLAMP. Full of stars and "pancakes". (I remembered this while eating some this morning.). The art is a bit different from their usual (guess one of the lesser used artists of the group took center stage here). The colors are amazing and the story is refreshing. Enjoy.

「オキモノ キモノ」
Okimono Kimono

Mangaka: CLAMP
Genre: Slice of Life, Supernatural
Summary: "A magical cooking lesson about making horan (soft-like pancake made without baking)." - Baka-Updates

Daily Manga

Well, I've been watching Saraiya Goyou all day. I'd watched the first episode when it was released, but never got around to finishing it. I'd also been looking around for the raws of the later volumes. I have the first two from the last time I went to Kinokuniya (but sadly I've had no time to go recently). After just looking it up on bakaupdates, I am sad to say that it is licensed by the evil Viz. I truly hate how they butcher manga. But if you don't mind their terrible translations and/or spending money or renting it from a library, etc then I really recommend this beautiful series. Basso (Ono Natsume-sensei) is always amazing, and it shows even more so in this great work. I hope you get the chance to read it and that when you do, you will enjoy it too. The anime is also great, so if you are unable to get the manga or simply wish to watch it, I recommend that as well.

「さらい屋五葉」
Saraiya Goyou

Mangaka: オノ・ナツメ (Ono Natsume)
Genre: Action, Historical, Seinen, Slice of Life
Summary: "Masterless samurai Akitsu Masanosuke is a skilled and loyal swordsman, but his naïve, diffident nature has time and again caused him to be let go by the lords who have employed him. Hungry and desperate, he becomes a bodyguard for Yaichi, the charismatic leader of a gang called "Five Leaves." Although disturbed by the gang's sinister activities, Masa begins to suspect that Yaichi's motivations are not what they seem. And despite his misgivings, the deeper he's drawn into the world of the Five Leaves, the more he finds himself fascinated by these devious, mysterious outlaws." - Baka-Updates

Daily BL

So today's BL is a manhwa! A Full color one. It's quite different from the usual, so it makes it very refreshing and interesting. The art and story are both really great. Aside from that, I love all the works by this manhwaga so it's simply a plus for me, lol. Well! I hope you'll like it.

「해피엔딩」
Happy Ending

Manhwaga: 이경하 (Lee Kyung-ha)
Genre: Adult, Romance, Slice of Life, Yaoi
Summary: "A rich, spoiled, successful, handsome man finds himself looking for something new in his life. Taking advice from his past lover, he seeks a roomate, an "easy relationship". However, instead of a glamorous, sexy, cute female... a MALE mistakenly shows up at his door..?

(In full color)" - Baka-Updates

Daily Manga

Sorry for the late post. I'm 1:33 minutes past, darn. Well! Today's manga is one I've been on the look out for, for awhile now. I've only read one of the mangakas other works, but I really fell in love with it and hope to see more. I think this is the first work of hers to be translated. Anyways! The art is unique and that makes it great. The story also looks to be pretty good so far. Maybe it's just my own taste because I can see myself in the main character, but I'm enjoying it so far. So I hope you will like it as well. Enjoy!

「関根くんの恋」
Sekine-kun no Koi

Mangaka: 河内 遥 (Kawachi Haruka)
Genre: Drama, Mature, Slice of Life
Summary: "Even though he's an elite hunk, Sekine Keiichiro is a man who has lived his life out of focus, cursed by three handicaps: he's stoic, passive, and a Jack of all trades but master of none." - Baka-Updates

Daily Manga

Sorry for the recent inactivity. This can hardly be called daily now. Sadly, though, it may continue this way for awhile longer. But anyways! Today's manga is one of my favorites. Lol, I just noticed two things; I've recommended two mangas that concern religion although I am non-religious, & looking at bakaupdats, this mangaka also created Arakawa. I'd never have guessed that even though it is so glaringly obvious, lol. So this manga, written before Arakawa, is just as great & side-splittingly funny. Enjoy!

「聖・おにいさん」
Saint Young Men

Mangaka: 中村 光 (Nakamura Hikaru)
Genre: Comedy, Seinen, Slice of Life
Summary: "Saint Oniisan is slice-of-life or divine-life, tale of Jesus and Buddha as they try to experience the modern world, in this case, Japan. The manga places a funny twist on religion, attitudes, culture and customs in Japan through the eyes of Jesus and Buddha.
You see Jesus and Buddha experiencing Asakusa, public baths, theme parks, and the internet. Throughout the manga, we get a little history of their divine greatness only to see their apparent insignificance in modern Japanese society. Suffice to say, before people can recognize that they’re actually Jesus and Buddha, people think of them as someone who looks like Johnny Depp or a guy with a button on his forehead. For real.

Saint Oniisan received the 2009 Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize for Short Work Manga.

Nominated for the 2nd Manga Taisho Award (2009)." - Baka-Updates

I love it for the topic of it is so much different from your average manga. so what is it? The game Karuta! Hyakunin Isshu! The art is also really great. It's a fun story & it's won the 2nd manga Taisho award. I've also included the raws of volumes 1-9 out of 10 ongoing volumes below (but if you do download them please buy the manga, especially if you like it, to support the mangaka. They need the money. Desperately.) Enjoy.

「ちはやふる」
Chihayafuru

Mangaka: 末次由紀 (Suetsugu Yuki)

Daily Manga

Today's manga is by the amazing maid loving mangaka of Emma! So there's obviously great art and a pretty entertaining, fun, pure story. There's a sequel to this that I'll share tomorrow, so enjoy this one for today, na? (And thanks for visiting!)

「シャーリー」
Shirley

Mangaka: 森 薫 (Mori Kaoru)
Genre: Drama, Historical, Seinen, Slice of Life
Summary: "Yet another maid-tastic manga from Kaoru Mori, "Shirley" is an evocative glimpse into the daily life of winsome, 13-year-old Shirley, a maid in turn-of-the-century England. It is often compared to Yokahama Kaidashi Kikou, as both mangas feature languid pacing, atmospheric backgrounds, and a female main character who works in a cafe.

If you like YKK, have a weakness for "cute," and/or have a maid fetish, this is the manga for you. No hentai, no fanservice, zero, zip, nada. Just pure maid-tastic moemoe." - Baka-Updates
