Daily BL

Today's BL is one I recently read by Ike Reibun. I'm probably over-thinking it and reading too much into it, but if I'm not; Ike Reibun is a genius. An amazing, beautiful, incredible person. Why? Because from what I can see in this oneshot; She seems to be addressing the recent manga ban, the stupidity & power of the politicians, & the mindless sheep-like personality of the populace. It seems to address so many of the issues in such a terrifying yet hilarious manner that one can not help but be incredibly impressed and can't help loving the story. Even if that is not Ike Reibun's intention; I still loved this story. I hope you do, too. (And yes, the cover below & the story listed are different. The cover reads "Natsu ni Shiniyuku Monogatari" & does not seem to be listed in BU. If you'd like to know more; Google it yourself.)

「Dangerous Symphony」

Daily Manga

A short oneshot from Nakamura Asumiko-sensei. It's incredibly beautiful. In every way. & If you've seen "The Man in The Iron Mask" with Leonardo De Caprio; It's quite similar, but better. Full color with Nakamura-sensei's amazing art. Anyways. I loved this one & hope you will too.

「アードルテとアーダルテ」
Adolte and Adarte

Mangaka: 中村明日美子 (Nakamura Asumiko)

Daily BL

I'm a big Madarame Hiro fan. Not as much for their most well known works; but more so for their hint of craziness & beautiful, unique art. So. This is a oneshot & sequel to "Kyou Anata ni Wakare wo Tsugemasu" which I post a few pages back. It's terribly beautiful, as always. I hope you'll like it.

「明日君に愛をささやく」
Ashita Kimi ni Ai wo Sasayaku

Mangaka: 斑目ヒロ (Madarame Hiro)
Genre: Drama, Shounen Ai

Daily Manga

"The Place Promised in Our Early Days", adapted by the amazing Sahara Mizu-sensei. I've only read chapter one so far, but I can promise I'll be reading it to the very end (& probably be wishing for more when it ends.) Sahara-sensei's incredible art just makes Shinkai-sensei's stories all the better. So, I hope you'll like it as well.

「雲のむこう、約束の場所」
Kumo no Mukou, Yakusoku no Basho

Mangaka: 佐原ミズ (Sahara Mizu)
Author: 新海誠 (Shinkai Makoto)
Genre: Drama, Psychological, Romance, Sci-fi, Seinen
Summary: "In an alternate history of the aftermath of World War II, Japan has been cleaved in half, with the south—Honshu and the other islands—allied with the United States and the northern island Hokkaido annexed by the enigmatic Union. It was on Hokkaido that a mysterious tower had been built, a strand of metal reaching up out of the atmosphere, visible from the northern tip of Honshu. In 1996, three teenagers, Hiroki, Takuya and Sayuri, make a pact—they will build an experimental aircraft, almost invisible to surveillance, cross over to Hokkaido and unlock the secrets of the tower. Their dream was never realized, because Sayuri was sent to Tokyo for treatment after she fell into a coma. It is now three years later. The rosy illusions of youth have fallen away, but not the unbreakable strength of the trio’s promise. The truth of the tower will be uncovered, and with it, the link between it and Sayuri’s mysterious, carefully tended condition." - Baka-Updates

Daily BL

The first two chapters about the vampire Naoyuki & the human who lives with him, Kou, are very mild, cute, & comedic. Shounen ai was as far as they took that story. But in the third chapter involving Naoyuki's brother, Yukito, & the werewolf, Seiichiro, is more on the Yaoi side. They don't really show much of the H scene's, but you know they are there. The rest of the chapters are oneshots & all so diverse and interesting. One being about a man with a mysophobic lover & another being a school romance. It's a nice mix, with interesting, refreshing stories & beautiful unique art. I find it a pity that the mangaka doesn't seem to have anything else out.

「それは食べてはいけません。」

An extra specially drawn compilation about Naoyuki’s older brother, Yukito, and a werewolf called Seiichirou!

Friends Season
High school students Kura and Kuri are best friends, but when Kuri confesses to his friend Kura, he's shot down pretty quickly, after all, Kura has a girlfriend. But now that he knows, Kura can't stop thinking about his friend in "that way".

Entangled, Untangled
Student Yoshino enjoys teasing Miki-sensei, even making the teacher tie his tie every morning. But how serious is Yoshino, and though Miki-sensei doesn't treat him like the other students, does that really mean love...

The Truth is You're Kind
Breaking up is hard to do for one young couple that can't seem to escape their memories of each other.

Beautiful Person
An 8 page short about a mysophobic man and his lover.

Later, at the Dinner Table

Daily Manga

I had actually been avoiding this one for years because when I read it in middle school, I wasn't very into it. But I figured I had to give it another chance & started rereading it a few months back. That was one of the best choices I've ever made, lol. It's ana amazing story. Long, very entertaining, & extremely well written/illustrated. It's comical yet serious with great art. The name fits it perfectly. So, if you've yet to read this one; I definately recommend it. It's probably in my top 10.

「風光る」
Kaze Hikaru

In 2003 Kaze Hikaru won the Shogakukan Manga Award for shoujo." - Baka-Updates
